Cura 15.04.6

Is at that place a reason why Cura xv.04.6 will non generate a Support for the attached link model mask_middle_v1.stl

I would capeesh whatever aid in setting Upwards Cura fifteen.04.6 supports for the in a higher place model.

Hi,
I believe 15.04.six is a very quondam version of Cura and is no longer supported. The current version is I think 4.7.1. The version numbering changed virtually the time I started 3D press and so do not know the reason for the new vs former numbering scheme.

Hi @Roberts_Clif,

I only had alook at the link you posted and couldn't find a mask_middle_v1.stl there. I found a "Scorpion_-_corona_respirator_-_filter_middle.stl" which seems to take a apartment bottom and no supports needed and a "Scorpion_-_corona_respirator_-_mask.stl" which I tested - I besides still have a version of 15.04.six installed, just in case ;) - and for me information technology generated supports for that file. Attached a screenshot of the layer view that shows the supports and a second screenshot that shows the settings used. Auto is a UM2 with Olsson Cake.

Afterward downloading the mask I could non find the exact mask and so left a link to a similar 1.

What I found was on " Ultimaker Community of 3D Printing Experts " posted by Labern " y'all can change the ten-y distance "
Started to Play with the Altitude X/Y (mm) institute that a change from 0.7 to 0.viii was all it took now I have supports in Cura xv.04.6.

Well glad you found the answer....simply also curious why you'd opt to run the 2017(?) version of Cura?

Cura 15.04.vi is a tried and truthful Slicer, it works every time for me.
Sometimes I accept problems with newer Version of Cura in a higher place Version three.6.

Working with Slic3r a lot more now that I accept found the secret settings for the slicer.
